Bond Memory for AI assistants

Bond Memory lets Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants make choices grounded in what you actually like. Your assistant asks Bond a question, such as which of these restaurants you would prefer, and gets back an answer with reasoning. It never receives a copy of your memory.

It is read-only. Nothing an assistant does through Bond Memory can change or delete anything in Bond.

Server URL

Before you connect

  • Install the Bond iOS app and sign in. Your phone is how you approve a connection. There is no password to enter on the web.
  • Have some memories in Bond. A brand-new account has nothing for an assistant to draw on yet.
  • Bond Memory is rolling out gradually. If your account is not eligible yet, the connection will not complete after you approve it. Try again later.

Connect

Claude. Open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the server URL and leave the client ID and secret empty. Click Connect.

ChatGPT. Find Bond Memory in the apps directory, or in developer mode add an MCP server with the URL above and OAuth authentication.

Claude Code. Run claude mcp add --transport http bond-memory https://mcp.bond.now/mcp

Other clients. Any MCP client that supports OAuth works. Add the URL as a remote HTTP server and follow its connect flow.

Every client then goes through the same approval:

  1. A Bond page opens in your browser asking Allow Claude to read your Bond memory? with a QR code. The page names the app that will receive access.
  2. Scan the QR code with your phone camera. It opens the Bond app.
  3. Tap Approve in Bond. The browser sends you back to your assistant and the connection is ready.

The QR code is valid for five minutes. If it expires, start the connect flow again from your assistant.

What your assistant can do

  • Pick for you. Give it a few options and it picks the one you are most likely to prefer, with reasoning written for you.
Try: “Which of these five restaurants should we book for Friday?”
  • Worth telling you. Before an assistant interrupts you with a deal, event, or find, it can check whether it clears your bar.
Try: “Only tell me about concerts I would actually go to.”
  • Personalize a search. Rewrites a search query around your tastes while keeping your intent and location intact.
Try: “Find me a weekend hiking trail nearby.”

Privacy and disconnecting

Assistants receive judgments and reasoning, not your memories. Access is read-only and expires on its own if a connection goes unused.

To disconnect everything at once, open the Bond app, go to Settings, and tap Disconnect Connected Apps. Every connected assistant loses access immediately. Removing the connector inside an assistant also works for that one assistant.
