How it works

Take or upload a photo — a menu, an outfit, a bottle, a shelf of things you can’t choose between. Lens recognizes what it’s looking at and works out what you’re actually deciding.

Then it checks that against your taste, and gives you the answer. The dish to order, the jacket to buy, the bottle worth opening.

The photo is just how you ask.

Not the internet’s taste. Yours.

Every recommendation you’ve ever been given was built from strangers — what most people clicked, what most people bought, what most people rated four stars.

Lens is built from you. Your taste comes from the memories you’ve saved on Bond. The meals you loved, the places you went back to, the things you kept. It reads a photo against all of it.

Which means it gets sharper the more you use Bond. Every memory you save makes the next answer more yours.

You can see why

Bond Lens shows its reasoning. Alongside every recommendation, you’ll see the memory it drew on.

That’s deliberate. A recommendation you can’t interrogate is just a guess with confidence. You should always be able to check its work.

What Bond knows about you

Only what you’ve put there. Your taste is built from memories you saved on purpose. Bond doesn’t collect in the background, doesn’t watch what you browse, and doesn’t buy data about you from anyone. If you never saved it, Bond Lens doesn’t know it.

So how is this different from Google Lens?

Google Lens is very good at what is this? Point it at a bottle and it will tell you the producer, the vintage, the price. That’s a lookup, and it’s a solved problem. We’re not trying to solve it again.

Bond Lens answers the question you actually had, standing there holding the bottle: would I like this one? That isn’t a lookup. There’s no fact to retrieve, because the answer is different for you than for the person next to you. It requires knowing what you’ve loved before, which is the one thing a search index can’t have and Bond does.

Same gesture. Completely different question.
