Effective October 1, 2026
These Bond Royalty Program Terms (the "Program Terms") govern your participation in the Bond Royalty Program (the "Program") offered by Dots Connected Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Bond," "we," "us"). They supplement the Bond Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply. If the Program Terms conflict with the Terms of Service on a Program matter, the Program Terms control. The Bond Royalty Policy (the "Royalty Policy") is part of these Program Terms. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Key terms of the Terms of Service.
1. Agreement. You accept these Program Terms when you tap Accept after Bond notifies you that you have been accepted. If you do not agree, do not tap Accept. You may still use Bond without joining the Program.
2. Eligibility and review
- To be reviewed, you must meet the eligibility rules in the Royalty Policy, including being at least 18 and living in the United States, and must create at least 5 eligible Stories and 50 eligible Memories (the "Qualifying Threshold").
- When you reach the Qualifying Threshold, you will automatically be submitted for review to the Royalty Program. Bond will notify you in the app when your review is complete. If you are accepted, you must tap Accept to join the Program. Your Content is not used in Simulations unless you accept. If your counts fall below the Qualifying Threshold during review, your review is paused as described in the Royalty Policy, Section 2.
- Every application is manually reviewed against the Royalty Policy. Bond aims to decide within 3 business days but does not guarantee a timeframe.
- Meeting the Qualifying Threshold does not guarantee acceptance. Bond may accept or reject any application in its reasonable discretion, consistent with the Royalty Policy and applicable law.
- Bond may ask you to verify your identity, age, location and tax status, and may reject an application if you do not.
3. Your content and the license you give Bond
- Program license. While you participate, you grant Bond a non-exclusive, royalty-bearing, worldwide, non-transferable (except as stated in Section 14), sublicensable-only-to-service-providers license to store, process, analyze and create de-identified and aggregated derivatives of your Simulation Inputs (Section 3.2) in order to operate Simulations and the Program. This license is in addition to the license in the Terms of Service. Bond uses Simulation Inputs in Simulations only under this license. The license in the Terms of Service does not cover Simulations.
- Simulation Inputs. Bond uses only the following in Simulations: (a) your Memories, excluding Memories that are deleted, removed by Bond, or excluded under Section 3 of the Royalty Policy, (b) Inferences Bond derives from them about your preferences, habits and likely reactions, and (c) your age range and general region (state or metro area) (together, "Simulation Inputs"). Bond does not use your images, videos, voice recordings, Story backstories, chat or Q&A transcripts, or profile photo in Simulations. Bond may use those materials to create your Memories, as described in the Terms of Service. Before use, Bond removes names, contact details, account identifiers and precise locations from Simulation Inputs.
- Simulations. Simulation Customers pose Simulation Questions about how consumers might respond to products, messaging or advertising, and Bond uses models to generate answers from participants' Simulation Inputs. Simulations, Simulation Customers and Simulation Questions are defined in the Terms of Service. We don't sell or share your personal information, as "sell" and "share" are defined by applicable privacy laws. If you join the Bond Royalty Program, businesses receive only de-identified synthetic Simulation results, which are not personal information.
- Ending the license. The Program license ends on the date your account is Monetization Removed (Section 7.3), including when you leave the Program. From that date, Bond does not include Your Content in any Simulation Question a Simulation Customer submits. Bond may complete Simulation Questions submitted before that date, and you earn usage bonuses under Section 4.3 for any of those questions your Memories contribute to. Simulation Results already delivered, and aggregated or de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably be traced back to you, are not recalled.
- Your promises. You have the rights needed to share Your Content, it is truthful and about your own life, and it follows the Royalty Policy.
- AI models. Bond does not use Your Content to train AI models.
4. Royalties
- Signup bonus. After acceptance, you are eligible for a one-time $10 signup bonus, paid once your payout account is verified. Limit one per person, ever.
- Base royalty. For each 30-day period in which the Program license in Section 3.1 is active and you meet the Ongoing Threshold (currently 1 eligible Story and 10 new or meaningfully updated eligible Memories), Bond pays you a base royalty of $20 as a license fee for the right to use Your Content during that period, whether or not Your Content is used in any Simulation. The Ongoing Threshold is a condition of eligibility that keeps your licensed content current, which can be met by updating existing content as well as adding new content. The base royalty is not payment for creating content. A base royalty is earned only for a 30-day period that ends while you are Active. If Bond removes your monetization for a reason other than your breach, or ends the Program, Bond will pay the base royalty for the period in progress if you had met the Ongoing Threshold.
- Usage bonuses. You may also earn a usage bonus of $1 for each Simulation Question to which your de-identified Memories contribute. Your Memories contribute to a question when Bond's systems select them as among the most relevant inputs used to generate that question's answer. Each question counts once for you, no matter how many of your Memories it uses. Usage bonuses depend on how many questions Simulation Customers ask and are not guaranteed; many participants may earn no bonus in a given period. There is no fixed maximum per 30-day period. Past bonuses do not predict future bonuses. Usage bonuses do not depend on meeting the Ongoing Threshold. You earn them for every question your Memories contribute to while you are Active, including during a missed period.
- Statements. Your balance and payment history appear in the app. Your statement shows the number of Simulation Questions your Memories contributed to in each period. Bond will not disclose which Simulation Customers asked which questions.
- Not wages. Royalties are license fees for Your Content, not wages or payment for services. Nothing in these Program Terms creates employment, partnership, agency or joint venture.
5. Payout account and payments
- After acceptance, you must add a payout account through Bond's payment provider, Stripe, and provide tax information (such as Form W-9). Royalties accrue to your payable balance only after your payout account is verified.
- Until then, amounts shown in the app are a pending balance. If you do not verify a payout account within 6 months after acceptance, the pending balance lapses, no amount is owed for that period, and your account is Monetization Removed.
- Bond pays verified balances each 30-day period, measured by your acceptance date.
- Bond may withhold or offset payments for fraud, Royalty Policy violations, chargebacks, overpayments, or legal requirements, and may recover amounts paid in error. While Bond investigates a suspected violation, it may hold payouts for up to 30 days.
- Payments are in U.S. dollars. You are responsible for fees charged by your payout provider.
6. Taxes. You are responsible for taxes on your royalties. Bond may collect tax information, issue information returns such as Form 1099 where required, and withhold amounts where the law requires, including backup withholding if you do not provide a valid taxpayer identification number.
7. Program status
- Active. You are Active from the time you tap Accept until your Program status changes under this Section.
- Missed period. If you don't meet the Ongoing Threshold in a 30-day period, you earn no base royalty for that period, but you remain Active and continue to earn usage bonuses. Bond may remove monetization from your account after a missed period, as described in the Royalty Policy.
- Monetization Removed. "Monetization Removed" means Bond has ended your participation in the Program because you missed the Ongoing Threshold, violated the Royalty Policy or these Program Terms, or for another reason permitted by Section 10. When your account is Monetization Removed:
- you stop earning base royalties and usage bonuses from the date of removal, except usage bonuses for Simulation Questions completed under Section 3.4;
- the Program license in Section 3.1 ends, and Bond stops including Your Content in new Simulation Questions, as described in Section 3.4;
- Bond will pay any verified balance you earned before removal, less permitted offsets under Section 5.4, within 60 days; and
- you keep your Bond account, unless your account is also suspended under the Terms of Service.
- Rejoining. If your account is Monetization Removed, you may be reviewed again after you meet the Ongoing Threshold in a new 30-day period, unless your removal is permanent under the Royalty Policy. Rejoining requires a new review and tapping Accept again.
- Leaving. If you leave the Program under Section 8, your account is treated as Monetization Removed from the date you leave.
8. Leaving the Program. You can leave at any time in Settings > Royalties. Leaving withdraws your consent to the financial incentive and your account is treated as Monetization Removed (Section 7.3). Bond will pay any verified balance you have earned, less permitted offsets, within 60 days. Leaving the Program does not delete your Bond account; you can delete your account or request deletion of your data under the Privacy Policy. Deleting your Bond account counts as leaving the Program. We'll pay verified balances before deleting payout details, or within 60 days.
9. Changes to the Program. Bond may change or end the Program, the royalty amounts, the thresholds, or the bonus method. Bond will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes, which apply only to future periods. If Bond ends the Program, it will pay verified balances earned before the end date. If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to leave the Program.
10. Suspension and termination.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability. The Program is provided "as is." Bond does not promise any level of earnings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bond's total liability arising from the Program is limited to the greater of the royalties paid or payable to you in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
12. Dispute resolution and arbitration. The Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration section of the Bond Terms of Service (the "Arbitration Agreement") applies to any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Program Terms, the Royalty Policy, or the Program, including royalties and payments. It requires individual arbitration and waives class actions and jury trials. The Arbitration Agreement is incorporated into these Program Terms by reference.
13. Governing law. These Program Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the Federal Arbitration Act.
14. General. You may not assign these Program Terms. Bond may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Program Terms, the Royalty Policy, the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Program.
15. Contact. Please direct any questions or comments about these Program Terms to support@bond.now.
Exhibit A: Notice of Financial Incentive
This notice explains what Bond pays you in the Royalty Program, what personal information is involved, and what that information is worth to Bond. It is required by the California Consumer Privacy Act and is provided to all participants.
The incentive. A one-time $10 signup bonus, a $20 base royalty for each eligible 30-day period, and variable usage bonuses, as described in the Program Terms, Section 4.
Personal information involved. Your Simulation Inputs: the Memories Bond creates from your Stories and Q&A, Inferences Bond derives from them about your preferences, habits and likely reactions, and your age range and general region. Your photos, videos, voice recordings, backstories and chat transcripts are not used in Simulations. Some sensitive categories, including precise geolocation and content about identifiable minors, are never included. Others, such as health, sexual orientation, religion and personal finances, are included only if you separately opt in (Royalty Policy, Section 3, and Privacy Policy, Section 5). Bond replaces precise locations in Memories with general locations before use.
How it is used. Bond de-identifies this information and uses it, together with information from other participants, to generate answers for Simulations. We don't sell or share your personal information, as "sell" and "share" are defined by applicable privacy laws. If you join the Bond Royalty Program, businesses receive only de-identified synthetic Simulation results, which are not personal information. Bond does not use Your Content to train AI models.
Opting in. You opt in by tapping Accept after reviewing this notice and the Program Terms.
Withdrawing. You can withdraw at any time in Settings > Royalties or by emailing support@bond.now. From the date you withdraw, Bond stops including your information in new Simulation Questions and you stop earning royalties. Withdrawing does not affect your use of Bond or balances already verified.
Value of your data. Bond does not assign a fixed monetary value to the personal information of any individual participant. Based on a good-faith estimate made for purposes of the CCPA and using the valuation methods its regulations permit, Bond believes the value of a participant's personal information to Bond is reasonably equivalent to the value of the royalties and bonuses Bond provides through the Program. In making this estimate, Bond considered the expenses it incurs to offer the Program, including royalties paid; the costs of acquiring and supporting participants and Simulation Customers and of storing, securing and processing participant data; and the revenue Bond projects from Simulations. The value varies by participant, depending on how often their Memories contribute to Simulations. Bond will review this estimate at least annually.
